Changes in how we use language can prove challenging for many. With the recommendations present, BOKU therefore intends to provide orientation by focusing on language and images that are more inclusive, gender-sensitive and diversity aware.

Gender equality and sustainable food systems

On December 5, 2023, BOKU took part in Gender Research Day for the second time to highlight current research projects in this field.

Psychosocial Counseling Center for BOKU Students

Since the beginning of WS21/22, BOKU students have been supported by a team of external psychologists/psychotherapists. Students have the possibility to get counseling (virtual as well as in person) in case of study-related difficulties as well as in personal conflict situations.

The Coordination Office for Gender Equality, Diversity and Disability is an institution according to § 19 Abs. 2 Z 7 UG and is assigned to the Rectorate.  

As a contact point for a wide range of topics relating to gender and diversity competence, inclusion and disability, the advancement of women and equality, the Coordination Office also deals with issues of equal opportunities and (anti-)discrimination. As a cooperation partner, we accompany and advise BOKU-internal processes and are involved in the initiation and implementation of topic-related measures. We ...
