Diversity Days

Diversity Day at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna is a day of action that focuses on diversity, equal opportunity, and mutual respect. The goal of this day is to raise awareness of different life experiences, cultures, genders, abilities, and perspectives, and to promote an open, inclusive community at the university.

Once a year, we want to celebrate these qualities together and highlight them through a wide variety of activities and events. Our highlights in recent years have included the presentation of the Diversity Award for Research, as well as a feminist walking tour through the Währing district. This year, the Diversity Award for Teaching will be presented for the first time.

Diversity Day demonstrates that diversity enriches the university community. Different experiences and perspectives foster innovation, creativity, and mutual understanding. BOKU is thus setting an example for openness and respectful coexistence and underscoring its responsibility as a modern and forward-looking educational and research institution.
