FWF Open Access Block Grant
Funding criteria for OA-publications resulting from Austrian Science Fund (FWF)-projects beginning 1.1.2024
Beginning January, 1st 2024 the funding scheme in support of open access publications published within the scope of projects funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) changes.
Beginning on 01.01.2024, the FWF will no longer handle processing for scientific authors from BOKU. Processing will then be centrally handled by the University Library. The FWF’s open access block grant will replace the previous FWF program “Peer-reviewed publications“.

- Without application: Article is published in a hybrid-journal which is included in one of the transformative agreements between BOKU and the publishers.
Note: This option is only possible until the end of 2027, if BOKU has concluded an agreement with the publisher by the end of 2024! - With application via application-form: For publications in open access journals outside of a transformative agreement.
Please make sure that on the original billing statement/invoice the VAT ID of BOKU (ATU16285008) appears and that the university name ("Universität für Bodenkultur Wien" or "University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna") is written in the first line of the invoice address.
