Hybrid OA: no restriction

Gold OA: only Full length articles (FLA) und Review articles (REV)

Book reviews are always excluded from funding.

Funding Criteria
  • The corresponding author1 is affiliated with BOKU according to UG 2002 §94 at the time of acceptance.
  • The Acknowledgment contains: "Open access funding provided by University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU)"

The following also applies to FWF articles:

  • CC BY 4.0 License
  • The Acknowledgment contains: „This research was funded in whole or in part by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) [grant DOI]. For open access purposes, the author has applied a CC BY public copyright license to any author accepted manuscript version arising from this submission.“

CC BY 4.0, CC BY-NC-ND 4.0.

The library recommends choosing the CC BY 4.0 license, as it best corresponds to the Open Access ideal. Publications from FWF projects must always use this license.

Workflow

Authors can select the agreement after acceptance, provided that their affiliation with BOKU has been correctly stated or recognized.

The library reviews the request.

Additional CostsAdditional costs such as Color Charges, Page Charges, Submission Fees etc. are not covered by the agreement. Only OA-costs are covered.
