For faunistic-ecological and nature-conservation motivated surveys of wild bees, the Institute of Integrative Nature Conservation Research houses a collection of prepared insects for species comparisons. The geographical focus of this "work in progress" collection corresponds to the focus of the current wild bee projects and theses in the agricultural landscapes, protected areas and urban areas of eastern Austria. Currently, the collection is being expanded to include the East African region.
