Jubiläumsfonds der Stadt Wien für die Universität für Bodenkultur Wien - Ausschreibung 2026

With the establishment of the “City of Vienna Anniversary Fund for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna,” the City of Vienna is honoring its collaboration with one of Vienna’s most important universities on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) in 2025.

Through joint and coordinated work on issues by BOKU and the City of Vienna, the synergy potential between science and industry is to be specifically fostered.

The newly established fund serves the following objectives:

  • Strengthening science-based collaboration in the core thematic areas of the City of Vienna and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna
  • Strengthening collaboration between science and industry in BOKU’s fields of expertise, interconnected with the business areas of the City of Vienna
  • Promoting the connection between the economy and sustainable development, thereby simultaneously strengthening the economy and quality of life in Vienna
  • Strengthening Vienna as a university and research location through the targeted interlinking of activities by BOKU and the City of Vienna
  • Promoting early-career researchers at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna

II. BOKU Talent Awards (for excellent master’s theses and dissertations)

Submissions from all BOKU subject areas are eligible for awards under the “BOKU Best Paper Awards” and “BOKU Talent Awards” funding instruments.

 

Submission deadline for all listed funding instruments: 30 June 2026

 

The decision on the awarding of prizes and research funding will be made by the Board of Trustees of the City of Vienna Anniversary Fund for the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (expected by the end of 2026). The award ceremony is expected to take place in March 2027.
