What is Erasmus
Erasmus is the most successful educational programme of the European Union and fosters mobility and transnational collaboration. Students spend between 3 and 12 months of their studies at a European partner university with financial support of the EU.
PhD students can also do a short-term research stay - 5-30 days (student status at BOKU only possible for stays longer than 2 weeks).
We are certain that you will have an interesting, exciting and enjoyable semester/year at our university and in our city. At BOKU, like at most of the other universities in Europe, people from different countries who speak different languages study, live and socialise together. Living with people from all over the world is a great experience and offers many new and exciting opportunities. We are looking forward to supporting you during your time in Vienna and we will try our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Your exchange coordinator at BOKU-International Relations, as well as your Buddy and your Austrian fellow students will be a great source of information.
The entitlements and obligations of Erasmus+ students are summarized in the Erasmus+ Student Charter by the European Commission.
