Content

The course "Innovation Management" provides an introduction to the fundamentals and concepts of innovation management. The key topics include:

- Introduction to innovation management
- Types of innovations and their significance for the economy, society, and the environment
- Sources of innovation
- Creativity and its connection to innovation
- Organization and management of innovation processes
- Innovation in the context of sustainability

Students will learn to understand and analyze innovation processes and apply basic tools for idea generation and selection. The content is specifically tailored to bachelor’s students and provides practical, foundational knowledge.

Previous knowledge expected

Basic knowledge in the core discipline of the study program
Fundamentals of business administration (e.g., value creation, business models)
Basic knowledge of sustainability topics: (Planetary Boundaries, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), systems thinking)

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
