The transition to modularized bachelor's degree programs (curricula) presents a number of challenges.
In principle, however, the following applies:

  • No previous achievement will be lost!
  • Equivalent achievements will be correctly allocated as of October 1, 2025.

If you have STARTED a bachelor's degree program in the winter semester 2025/26, you are automatically enrolled in the new, modular curriculum and are NOT AFFECTED by the information on this page!

Below you will find answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ) that may arise for students who started a bachelor's degree program before the 2025 winter semester.

Which group do I belong to?

If you enrolled in a bachelor's program at BOKU before the 2025/26 winter semester and have not actively applied for a change of study plan, you are in the expiring curriculum (22U_SPO or 24U_SPO). You will remain in this program until the end of February 2030, unless you actively switch programs or interrupt and then resume your studies.

If you began a bachelor's degree program in the 2025/26 winter semester or actively decided to change your study plan, the new, modularized curriculum (25U_SPO) applies to you.
