Admission to a a doctoral programme at BOKU University with an Austrian master's degree

Graduates with a master's degree in engineering sciences from BOKU University, TU Wien, the Technical University of Leoben and Graz University of Technology are eligible for direct admission to the programme Doctoral Studies of Natural Resources and Life Sciences and to the PhD BOKU University without any further evaluation procedure. Upon enrolment, these applicants only need to present their original master's degree certificate (with the exception of BOKU graduates).

DOCTORAL PROGRAMME IN NATURAL RESOURCES AND LIFE SCIENCES, DOCTORAL PROGRAMME IN SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SCIENCES, PhD BOKU University

Admission to a doctoral programme at BOKU University requires requires the completion of a relevant master’s programme or an equivalent programme at a recognized domestic or foreign post-secondary educational institution.

The relevance of your academic background will be determined after a content review of your submitted documents.

Please include the following original documents (or notarized copies) with your application:

  1. Completed application form
  2. Bachelor's and master's degree certificates or diploma certificate
  3. Transcript of records for both bachelor's and master's degrees (inlcuding subjects, grades, ECTS or study hours)
  4. Confirmation of supervision by a BOKU university lecturer
  5. CV
