fire extinquishing drill

The staff unit for employee protection and health provides a fire extinguishing drill for employees of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna. It aims to convey the safe handling of different kinds of fire extinguishers through a theoretical and practical introduction.

The extinguishing exercises are organized and accompanied by Mr. Ing. Michael Pongracz and Mr. Moritz Ludwig.

Theoretical instruction:

- Briefing on fire extinguisher types
- fire safety

Practical instruction:

- Handling and function of fire extinguishers
- Use of fire extinguisher on fire simulator

The fire extinguishing drill takes place on the University ground for groups with a maximum of 6 people at

This is the right way to do it:

1. remove fuse
2. press impact button or operating handle
3. direct extinguishing jet at source of fire (attack fire in wind direction)
