International Soil Law and Governance Conference

On October 20, 2022, the Institute of Law of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), together with the Research Center on Climate Change Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Graz (ClimLaw: Graz) and the German Environment Agency (UBA), hosted the International Soil Law and Governance Conference. Cooperation partners were the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The organizers of the conference were Univ.-Prof. Dr. Daniel Ennöckl, LL.M. (BOKU), Prof. Dr. Oliver Ruppel (University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and University of Graz), Dr. Harald Ginzky (German Federal Environmental Agency) and Univ.-Ass. Mag. Nikolaus Handig (BOKU).

Topics of the talks and moderated panel discussions included:

–        Soil, international cooperation and food security
