27th Semester Touchdown of Agricultural Sciences on the 16th of January, 2025

Have you written a noteworthy thesis in agricultural science that you would like to present to a broad professional audience (as a lecture or poster)?

Then submit an abstract of your bachelor thesis, master thesis or dissertation to BOKU CAS: cas@boku.ac.at by  November 15, 2024!

The abstract must include the following:

    Title
    Problem/question/objective
    Methodology
    Results
    Conclusions
    and: Supervisors, study, category (bachelor thesis/master thesis/dissertation).

The abstract must be at least 600, but no longer than 900 words! Abstracts that do not meet these requirements cannot be accepted. A jury will decide on acceptance as a presentation or as a poster.

The best papers will be awarded! The preliminary evaluation of the abstract, in combination with the evaluation of the presentation by the jury on the day of the touchdown, will decide on the awarding of the prize. In the presentation, emphasis is placed on a comprehensible presentation of the background, methods and results, which also enables the part of the jury and the Touchdown audience that comes from disciplines outside the field to understand the work.

The 1st prize is endowed with an amount of 500€, the 2nd prize with an amount of 400€ and the 3rd prize with an amount of 300€. Poster presentations will also be awarded with cash prizes. The prizes are donated by the Association of Agricultural Graduates, which thus promotes the next generation of agricultural scientists!

The best speeches and poster presentations are awarded. Sponsoring of awards comes from the BOKU Verband der Agrarabsolventen in support of young scientists.
