Sustainability Management
Sustainability Management
BOKU places special emphasis on ensuring that sustainability reporting is based on a solid sustainability management system. To ensure the long-term success of BOKU's sustainability activities, relevant processes and structures are being improved and expanded.

While the Rectorate holds overall responsibility, the Core Group for Sustainability is responsible for the process management of BOKU's sustainability strategy. Topic-specific working groups handle area-specific implementation planning, while the relevant organizational units are responsible for data collection and the implementation of measures.
The Core Group for Sustainability was established to coordinate the various sustainability activities at BOKU effectively. Members of the Core Group for Sustainability include: Christian Obinger (Vice-Rector for Research & Innovation), Werner Zollitsch (Head of gW/N), Lisa Bohunovsky (Deputy Head of gW/N, Coordinator of the Sustainability Strategy), Franz Fehr (SDG Officer), Ines Fritz (Institute for Environmental Biotechnology, Tulln).
