Bits, Brains and Cells: Memory Across Science
The term “Memory” includes notion of the past, it implies storage of data, its retrieval and computation, and yields learning capabilities. In our 6th annual Young Scientist Symposium at IST Austria, we look at memory from different perspectives, such as new approaches to data storage, the fundamental understanding of immunological memory, function of synaptic plasticity as the foundation of brain memory and the role that memory can play in explaining the evolution of our social interactions. We hope that at YSS 2017 we can create a great atmosphere to learn from these subjects and raise interdisciplinary questions.
