Wladimir Köppen Award for Climate and Earth System Research 2022
Universität Hamburg’s Cluster of Excellence “Climate, Climatic Change, and Society” (CLICCS) offers the 12th Wladimir Köppen Award for Climate and Earth System Research 2022.
The award grants 5.000 Euros.
Each year, CLICCS nominates excellent doctoral theses in climate and Earth system research for the Wladimir Köppen Award. The call is aimed equally at the natural sciences, the social and economic sciences, and the humanities. The call addresses researchers (up to 30 years of age) from all disciplines (Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Economic Sciences and Humanities) in German-speaking areas. Their dissertations have to show a clear relation to climate research.
Advisors, professors and working group leaders are invited to recommend appropriate candidates and submit an appropriate letter of recommendation. In addition to the letter of recommendation, we require a digital copy of the proposed doctoral thesis (as a pdf) and a curriculum vitae of the candidates.
