Research projects

The Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF) will open its next Life Sciences Call on 300124. With the focus “Synthetic Biology”, this call is open to research projects that draw upon the design and construction approaches of synthetic biology to further understanding of a fundamental question in the life sciences. Research projects should span 2-4 years, and the requested funding per project may range from Euro 400,000-900,000.

Please note that this is a two-stage call with a short- and full-proposal phase.

Deadline for submission of short proposals: 090424

Upon invitation, full proposals are to be submitted by 200824.

The funding decisions is expected in mid-December 2024.

 

An online information session will be held on 130124, 10am, to guide applicants through the submission process.

No registration is necessary.

 

To enable networking across research fields, the WWTF will launch a networking platform in December.

All applicants are encouraged to register and connect on this networking platform.
