Competition for young, bright scientists from all over Europe

The 2024 edition, taking place in the European City of Science 2024 (Katowice, Poland) from 9-14 September, is open to young researchers aged 21-35, representing all scientific disciplines, who will team up to develop innovative solutions responding to actual societal challenges.

During the 4-day hackathon, the ambitious scientists will be asked to team up and respond with the best possible scientific solutions to a problem in the area of any one of the five missions of the European Union included in the Horizon Europe programme:

- Adaptation to Climate Change

- Cancer Prevention and Care

- Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030

- 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030

- A Soil Deal for Europe

The winning team will be rewarded with a cash prize from a total prize pool of 75,000 Euro.
