WWTF Life Sciences 2026 Call: Targeted Prevention
This call is open to innovative and impactful projects that have the potential to promote disease prevention and/or increase the number of healthy life years in a defined population. Projects must outline a pathway to implementation that allows for the assessment of the feasibility and impact of the proposed work.
Who can apply:
A core research team of up to three PIs, with at least the coordinator being based in Vienna. Other PIs outside Vienna may receive a max of 20 % of the total budget.
Eligible costs are:
- The funding range is 400,000 to 750,000 Euro per project. Joint Projects involving NÖ may request up to 800,000 Euro.
- The project duration is from 24 to 48 months.
- It can cover personal and non-personal costs.
- But with a maximum of 40 % of non-personal costs
This is a two-stage call, with the deadline for short proposals on May 5, 2026, at 2 pm.
For the invited ones, the full proposals will have to be submitted on October 6, 2026, at 2 pm.
The projects are submitted online, via the WWTF Funding Portal.
