Young reserachers

The Austrian Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research (BMFWF) and the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM) grant 14 young scientists with the Danubius Young Scientist Award (one for each country that is part of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region).

The award seeks to highlight the scientific work and talent of young researchers and enhance the visibility of the scientific community in the region. It is open to all scientific disciplines. Candidates must be nominated by their hosting scientific institution.

Deadline for nominations: 100526

The award ceremony will take place on November 5, 2026 at the University of Ruse (Bulgaria) in the framework of the DRC Annual Conference.

We are looking forward to receiving many nominations, and we would greatly appreciate it if you could also share the call with other universities and colleagues in the Danube region!
