Transform AI-related research into successful start-ups and spin-offs

AI:SPiN is a new acceleration program designed to help transform AI-related research into successful start-ups and spin-offs. It is aimed at researchers at all career stages - from pre-doc and PhD candidates to senior researchers - who have research results, technologies, or disruptive ideas in which AI is a core enabling component. 

Participants receive a free, all-in-one support package including technical resources, AI expertise, supercomputer access, hands-on prototyping support, business coaching, networking opportunities, and co-working space. Technical support is provided through the AI Factory AI:AT. The modular program allows projects to enter at the stage that best matches their maturity and provides a clear, structured way to assess whether and how to commercialize their technology. AI:SPiN is delivered by INiTS, Vienna’s high-tech incubator, together with AI Factory AI:AT, the University of Vienna, and Austrian academic institutions. 

Applications will be open from September 18, to October 18, 2026.
