Although there is no formal decision on an alternative mobility scheme and the funding thereof as yet, there is a high chance of such a scheme to be established – probably similar to the Swiss silent partnership in Erasmus until 2010. All Swiss HEIs are very much interested in welcoming students from Europe and some even declared to use their own funds to support such mobility if need be. Therefore– although Switzerland is not an official Erasmus programme country – can still be a receiving country for students. A final decision on the mobility scheme and on grants for incomings is expected in the following weeks. However, those student mobilities will not be counted as ERASMUS+ mobilities; but as separate activity. We will keep you updated
