Austria-Berkeley Program for faculty and graduate students in the area of economic and social sciences
The Institute of European Studies (IES) at the University of California, Berkeley, and the Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation have signed an agreement to create an Austria-California-Program to promote scholarly collaboration between faculty and graduate students with the goal of advancing research on both sides of the Atlantic on comparative U.S.-EU economic issues.
The Program is open to Faculty from the Social Sciences and Humanities at all University of California (UC) Campuses and all Austrian Universities. The Austria-Berkeley Program, administered through IES and the Marshall Plan Foundation, centers on three activities: a program of short-term visits (up to € 5.000/visit), a collaborative research competition (up to EUR 10.000/project), and research conferences.
