The first in this series is a public webinar on “Disciplines and interdisciplinarity in doctoral education” on 25 June, 14:00–15:00 CEST. This webinar will focus on the relationship between single subject and interdisciplinary research in doctoral education today, a topic of increasing relevance as the Covid-19 crisis continues to demonstrate the value of collaboration across the scientific spectrum. Speakers will discuss different approaches and challenges faced in fostering interdisciplinarity, how these might impact a future structuring of doctoral education, as well as its potential for driving change at institutional level.
