2025 Iowa State University Next Generation Institute in Uganda

Iowa State University has been engaged in building capacity with rural communities in Eastern Uganda for 20 years. This work is described here 
 
Based on this work an annual Next Generation Institute is launched to share lessons learned about people-centered sustainable rural livelihood programs. BOKU is invited to nominate one individual connected to BOKU to participate in the next institute “Designing and Managing Sustainable Rural Livelihood Programs” to be held in Kamuli, Uganda from 7-17 January 2025.

The nominee may be an advanced undergraduate (B.Sc.) student, post-graduate student or a recent alumnus who is an early career NGO professional. Applicants with professional aspirations to work in rural development will receive first priority. Thanks to generous donor sponsorship of this annual institute, scholarships to all accepted nominees to cover all costs can be offered (including program fee, meals, lodging and local transportation) except travel to and from Uganda.
