AARC & DRC Call for Applicants
The AARC (Rectors’ Conference of the Universities of the Alps Adriatic Region) organises its traditional PhD conference open to both AARC members and DRC (Danube Rectors Conference) members with the title “Thinking of the Quality of Life for the Young Generation in the Alpine and Adriatic region through the eyes of a young researcher in circular economy and human and social science”.
This year, the conference is hosted by University of Maribor. Namely, this year, Slovenia presides the European Union Strategy for the Alpine region. This strategy has many in common with the Danube strategy, so the organizers think it is a good background to set the topic of the conference alongside the priorities of 2024: Circular Economy and Quality of Life for Youth. The two quite broad priorities open possibilities to present the own PhD research to colleagues from related programmes and opens possibilities to discuss the topics being important for both EU regions.
University of Maribor will accept up to 30 participants and cover accommodation for up to 2 days and meals. Additionally, they offer a flat rate co-financing of travel costs up to 100 €. Candidates may fill the short registration form and send it electronically to the following e-mail address (mladen.kraljic(at)um.si). The principle of selection is »first come, first served«.
