Entry Exit System

Das neue europäische Einreise-/Ausreisesystem (EES) wird am 12. Oktober 2025 in Betrieb genommen. Die europäischen Länder, die das EES nutzen, werden das System schrittweise an ihren Außengrenzen einführen.

Alle Drittstaatsangehörigen (= keine EU-Bürger*innen und keine Staatsangehörigen von Norwegen, Schweiz, Island und Liechtenstein), welche mit Visum oder visumsfrei für einen Aufenthalt bis zu maximal 90 Tagen in ein teilnehmendes europäisches Land reisen, werden bei der Einreise und bei der Ausreise unter Erfassung biometrischer Daten im EES registriert.

Inhaber*innen eines Visums D oder eines Aufenthaltstitels der teilnehmenden Staaten benötigen hingegen keine EES-Registrierung.

The new European Entry/Exit System (EES) will go live on 12 October 2025. European countries using the EES will gradually introduce the system at their external borders.
All third-country nationals (= non-EU citizens and non-nationals of Norway, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein) travelling to a participating European country with a visa or visa-free for a stay of up to 90 days will be registered in the EES upon entry and exit with the collection of biometric data.

Holders of a D visa or a residence permit from the participating countries, on the other hand, do not need to register with the EES.
