The overarching purpose of the course is to read and critically discuss scientific papers focussing on science-society interaction/dialogue.
More specifically, the course consists of three parts:
- Introduction to the topic, further planning if the seminar
- Presentation of papers selected by the students
- Workshop on analysis of papers
- Inhaltliche Voraussetzungen (erwartete Kenntnisse)

Basic knowledge on sustainability concepts.

Upon completion of this course the students will have increased their ability to critically review scientific publications. They will be able to identify and report the most important concepts, approaches and results from the scientific papers. Furthermore, they will be able to address parts they do not fully understand and to formulate discussion questions.
