Presentation of specific Soil Properties and Processes for supporting ecological engineering provisions as for example filtering, buffering and transformation mechanisms.
Lecture part: 1) Factors and Processes of soil formation; 2) Technical soil parameters; 3) Ecological functions of soils as structured porous systems;

Working exercise: Students work (literature research) via Internet in groups on specific ecological engineering topics. Presentation and discussion of the results. Students are asked to bring their Notebooks, if available, with wlan reception. A mandatory field excursion is scheduled at 13 June 2023. The excursion fee of 17€/person will be paid directly in the bus.
Lehrziel

Knowledge of the main relevant soil constituents, processes and functions which are important for ecological engineering tasks, especially the implementation of Natural Soil Properties.
