The seminars will be held in person on May 28th, 2024, from 9AM to about 2 PM, in the SR52 (previously SR05/10), in the 5th floor of the building Muthgasse I (Department of Biotechnology).


Each unit will consist of a seminar and extensive discussion as well as lecture selected topics, which will be listed on BOKU learn.
The presentations will take place in the last week of May, we can still discuss when exactly that will be (so most of you have time). They are planned for 15 min with 5 min discussion. The structure: please study the topic and fell supported with the literature provided, but you are not restricted or bound to it. You are welcome to propose and present your own topics, only please share your thoughts with us ahead of the presentation.

Successful participants will be able to:
-give an overview of the current situation in the antibody engineering field, including current most successful antibody-based therapies and future trends
-comment on the various classes of targets of therapeutic antibodies in the last decades
-compare the mode of activity of various therapeutic antibodies
-defend the importance of armoured antibodies (ADCs, CARs)
-outline the differentiation of bispecific antibodies and Fc fusions
- communicate their views to peers (colleagues) in a constructive discussion
- cooperate with colleagues in delivery and evaluation of individual presentations
