Lehrinhalt

- Study the concept of resilience, vulnerability, and adaptive capacity in the context of climate change and the role of environmental justice in climate action

- Analyze socio-ecological systems (SES) and examine the role of different actors

- Evaluate the effectiveness of different policy and governance approaches to achieve sustainable development and environmental justice

- Develop an understanding of how justice thinking can be implemented and embedded in climate change adaptation and mitigation policies, based on international case studies

Lehrziel

- Understand the concept of resilience, vulnerability, and adaptive capacity in the context of climate change, and how environmental justice concepts can be incorporated into climate actions
- Be able to critically examine development efforts and power relations and understand how power and equity are interconnected in the context of environmental and climate challenges
- Analyze socio-ecological systems (SES) and examine the role of different actors, including governments, international organizations, and civil society, in addressing climate change and achieving environmental goals, with an emphasis on the role of collaborations and networks
-Understand and evaluate the effectiveness of different policy and governance approaches to achieve sustainable development and environmental justice
-Develop an understanding of how equity thinking can be implemented and embedded in climate change adaptation and mitigation policies
