All buildings need to be situated on geological basement and in the geological environment. In the course of the fieldtrip, a selection of green buildings, infrastructures and modern suburbs will be visited and investgated with regard to their relation with the surrounding landscape, the geological subsurface the broader environmental context.

Part 1: Aspern (Vienna) - June 17
- Aspects of green building in Aspern Seestadt

Part 2: Hochschwab mountains - July 7-9
- Voistaler Hütte & Schiestelhaus as examples for green buildings in a sensitive karst ecosystem
