This course seeks to help young researchers to publish their data in (inter-)disciplinary manuscripts. The course offers strategies along the road to submitting a paper, from choosing a suitable journal to constructing a storyline, selecting an appropriate language style or register, and - the most challenging task of all - condensing content. We will practice techniques to overcome writer's block and to tackle time restrictions or interruptions. We will review papers and jointly work on the participants' manuscripts.
Inhaltliche Voraussetzungen (erwartete Kenntnisse)

Proficiency in English is required.
Lehrziel

Students have reflected their own reading and writing skills and identified their talents and challenges. They have gained practical experience in critical reading and analysis of texts, as well as in writing scientific texts. They can make informed decisions about publication venues and necessary investment into preparing a successful publication.
