This course focuses on field-based research methods in natural hazards research, comprising mapping and remote sensing monitoring techniques. The course will be held primarly in the field on real case studies.
Excursion topic: Natural hazards and climate change in the high mountains
Destination: Grossarl and Rauris, Salzburg
The 3-day excursion includes a visit to the Sonnblick observatory, the Pilatuskar large debris flow, the rockfall event in Hüttschlag and a visit to the Liechtenstein Gorge.
