We will read and discuss recent cutting-edge research in the field of social ecology relevant for the doctoral projects of the participating students; we will critically review the papers and discuss theoretical advances, new methodological developments and new empirical findings as well as issues related to scientific writing from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Inhaltliche Voraussetzungen (erwartete Kenntnisse)

The course is directed at advanced students working on their phd projects in social ecology or in related fields (e.g., sustainability sciences).
Lehrziel

Participating students will:
-have increased their ability to critically review scientific publications
-be able to identify and report the most important concepts, approaches and results from the scientific papers
-be able to critically discuss socio-ecological methods, concepts and findings
-have improved their competences in developing and writing journal articles
