This lectures focusses on the topics of urban rainwater management, technical irrigation of green-blue infrastructure (GBI) in the light of climate change. The students learn:
+ to understand the climatic framework conditions of GBI in urban landscapes
+ to assess the heterogeneous microclimatic conditions on and around a building for GBIs
+ to understand the different water demand of different GBIs, as trees or turf
+ to understand the principles and urgency of the sponge city concept
+ all types irrigation systems (manual, semi automized, fully automized)
+ all necessary parts for irrigation systems
+ to design a efficient irrigation system
+ to calculate irrigation demand tailored for plant species and their specific growth conditions
+ to calculate water pressures
+ how to maintain irrigation systems
