Einsame Eichen verlieren ihren natürlichen Fortpflanzungsrhythmus
Forscher der BOKU University haben gemeinsam mit internationalen Partnern erstmals nachgewiesen, dass isoliert stehende Eichen deutlich weniger Samen produzieren – und dabei auch den natürlichen Rhythmus der Fortpflanzung verlieren. Die Ergebnisse wurden im renommierten Fachjournal PNAS (Proceedings oft the National Academy of Science) veröffentlicht.
