Perspektivenwechsel im Wald: Vom Holzbedarf zur Kohlenstoffbilanz

Ein Forschungsteam der BOKU University stellt eine zentrale Frage neu: Nicht der künftige Holzbedarf soll bestimmen, wie viel genutzt wird – sondern der notwendige Beitrag der Wälder zum Klimaschutz. Das Ergebnis ist eindeutig: Nachhaltige Forstwirtschaft bedeutet geringere Nutzungsintensität und mehr Schutz für Klima und Biodiversität.
