Dear Forest Engineering Colleagues!

We would like to encourage you to attend and participate in the Austro2007/FORMEC´07 Meeting, October 7-11th 2007. It will be held in beautiful Vienna, Austria and the meeting focus is on steep terrain as well as woody biomass harvesting. The meeting program includes two days of technical papers, a one day visit to the forestry fair and live equipment demonstrations at the AUSTROFOMA 2007, and on the last day you will have the opportunity to visit the recently installed 120 MW combined heating plant in Vienna. Great food and beverages are also integrated into the program!Please consider submitting a paper and making presentation, the deadline for abstracts is 15^th Feb, 2007 (Call for Papers). The date for this meeting was chosen to coincide with the AUSTROFOMA 2007 forestry fair that includes live demonstrations. The previous meeting Austro2003, held at Stift Schlaegl in 2003 was very successful, hence ourdesire to repeat this event. We appreciate and apologize that this meeting is the week after the 3^rd Forest Engineering Conference scheduled for the 1^st October in Canada. We hope you can make it to both meetings!
