This course is addressed to intermediate users of English (A2 – B2), scientists and general staff who use English in their working lives and would like to practise it in a supportive setting.

Objectives:

Maintaining fluency and accuracy
Gaining self-confidence and finding joy when using English in the professional context
Establishing routines to ease and improve communication in English
Trying out the various conversation and discussion settings in English
Enjoying a regular practice session of English as a welcome alternative to researching and administering

Content:

Discussing topics of interest and relevance for the job
Related terminology and phrases
Interaction with colleagues
Focusing on gaining fluency
Everyday conversation, small talk

Methods:

Learning by doing, online links, Associative Learning

Group size: max. 12 participants

The workshop will take place online via ZOOM.

Mag.a Swan Cooper
grew up in Turkey and Austria; lived, worked and studied in the United States, Latin America, Central Asia, India, and Austria. Work experience as interpreter and translator, English language lecturer, intercultural communications coach, project manager, workshop coordinator, event manager, creative trainer, team builder, homemaker, hospice caregiver.
