I was born in France in 2003. I studied social sciences and humanities. Last year, I specialized in Geography and I am currently pursuing a Master's in Environmental management in Lyon.

During my three-months internship at SEC, I will do research on the modelling of wood and forest carbon fluxes. I hope to improve my knowledge of environmental issues and learn about the methods in a research Environment.

Louann Miseront

I was born in France in 2002. I studied maths and computer sciences for a year and a half before changing paths, and received my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Toulouse. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Environmental management (- Socio-ecological systems) in Lyon.

During my four-months internship at the Institute, I will investigate the historical evolution of energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions related to materials' life cycle across different world regions. This topic is directly linked to my research interests in environmental justice, social metabolism and the material dimensions of global inequalities. I hope to learn about environmental accounting and material flow analysis methods, as well as discover the research environment, especially in social ecology, in order to better contribute to it in the future. 
 

Clemént Picard

I'm a French student in social and environmental sciences at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon. My research interests lie at the intersection of political economy and socio-ecological metabolism, with a focus on resource use and global environmental change.

At the Institute, I work on modelling cascading processes in the European wood supply chain based on material flow data. Using Markov-chain approaches, my research seeks to develop improved indicators of resource efficiency and to analyse the dynamics of biomass use across European economies.
