Georg Prosoroff Award for emPLANT student Sagar Kafle

Sagar Kafle, graduate of the emPLANT+ Erasmus Mundus Master program, received the Georg Prosoroff - Award for the promotion of research into integrated pest management 2025 for his MSc thesis: Development and Validation of a Model for Genomic Prediction for Late Blight in Potato (Solanum tuberosum).

The thesis work has been performed at Aarhus University, Denmark, supervised by Prof. Just Jensen in cooperation with the potato breeding company Danespo A/S, Denmark.

The price is awarded by the  Austrian Working Group for Plant Health and has been handed over during the 66th Austrian Plant Protection Days from Wednesday, November 26 to Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Stift Ossiach, Stift Ossiach 1, 9570 Ossiach.
