MA 29 – Brückenbau, Grundbau (City Council of Vienna, Division 29 – Bridge construction and foundation engineering)
The field of activity of the bridge construction and foundation engineering department (MA 29) includes bridges, stairs and retaining walls as well as special civil engineering matters of the city of Vienna. Due to its location, Vienna is a city with a high proportion of bridges. MA 29 looks after 827 bridges. About 20 percent of the existing bridges were built before 1950.
