Closing conference 18th of January 2019
The FWF funded special research project SFB Fusarium at BOKU reaches its end after 10 years of successful interdisciplinary research by BOKU investigators (from areas such as fungal and plant molecular biology, analytical chemistry and metabolomics, and resistance breeding) and collaborating partners from TU/Helmholtz Zentrum München (bioinformatics) and University of Vienna (toxicology). Aim of the project was to employ the rapidly advancing tools of genomics, transcriptomics and metabolomics to get a deeper understanding of the molecular interactions between Fusarium graminearum and host plants, in particular wheat, with the long term goal to utilize the knowledge gained for resistance breeding. The progress made in this basic research project will be presented (program), and will be complemented by presentations of international experts in this field.
Interested colleagues are cordially invited to attend this symposium (location: IFA Tulln, Peter-Ruckenbauer lecture hall).
Since the number of participants is limited, free registration is required until January 10, or till capacity is reached.
