The time required to complete a master's thesis is approx. 3 months. If the student concentrates fully on the master thesis during this time, this time frame is adhered to by the supervisor. The master theses are evaluated according to the following criteria: Formulation and presentation skills, quality of the report; literature research; independence, problem-solving skills, commitment, time management.
Since the foundation of the Chair "Bodenmechanik und Grundbau" in 1974, more than 380 diploma theses and master theses have been successfully supervised. Many master theses are carried out together with industrial partners. Due to the strict training, our graduates enjoy a good name and are in demand with the employers. They work for construction companies, engineering offices and authorities.
