F. LETTNER, W. WETSCHEREK and H. KRAUTSACK:

The Influence of the Storing-Time from Dried Skimmilk on the Performance of Fattening Calves

Summary

In a feeding trial with fattening calves the influence of the storing-time from dried skimmilk on the performance of fattening calves was tested. Three groups were tested, each feeding group included 12·female Simmenthal calves. The fattening period started at 80 kg bodyweight and finished at 158 kg body weight. The feeding schedule and the most important results are shown in table 7. The results of the fattening performance did not offer any significant differences. A longer storing-time of dried skimmilk, under good conditions, had no influence on the performance of the fattening calves.
