Notes:

  • To install the GroupWise client on your computer, you must have administrative rights on the local device. If you are not sure about this, please contact the IT manager of your organizational unit.
  • The GroupWise client can also be installed on private PCs.
  •  The GroupWise client and Microsoft Outlook should not be installed on the same PC.

Installation

After running the installation program, temporary data will be downloaded.
At the beginning of the installation a language selection is made.
After selecting the desired installation language, the installation runs fully automatically, so that you will receive a confirmation of success after the installation is complete. Afterwards you can start the client.

Problem avoidance and problem solving

Error message: SetupIP could not copy the GroupWise Setup files. Please contact your system administrator.
  • If possible, delete all files from the TEMP folder.
During installation, various DLLs cannot be registered or copied.
  • Uninstall the GroupWise client, restart the PC, and try to reinstall.

    If installation fails repeatedly, use GroupWise Client Remover to completely remove the client:
    GroupWise Client Remover.

Reproduction of elements through third-party backup software
  • If you use third-party backup software, be sure to exclude the GroupWise Installation folder from the backup.
