Do You Prefer Text or HTML Formatting in Your Emails?

It is up to you whether you use text or HTML formatting to show and write your emails. There are situations that require a HTML viewing. Often you wish to also make your message optically appealing for your audience. HTML is the easiest option for such cases.

Generally when writing an email the data are also sent as a text when you use HTML formatting. Still there are emails where only one viewing option is possible. 

Switching Text / HTML Views

In every individual email you can switch back and forth between text and HTML views both when reading and writing a message. Either use View > Text/HTML or the two buttons in the upper bar.

Set Default View

If you always wish to see your emails in text or HTML formatting, you can set the following adjustment: 

Select the menu Tools > Options > Environment. Click on the tab Views.

Here you can select your preferred option for reading and writing.
