Infrastructure for Workgroups
A bookable room for project groups equipped with large screens and a video conferencing system.
What is a project room?
If you are looking for a place where a project group can work undisturbed and in peace, we recommend the BOKU-IT project room! This room can be booked for project groups via BOKUonline, ensuring that you have exclusive use of the room. The following infrastructure is available to you:
- Two 55-inch screens with an HDMI cable
- Poly video conferencing system
- Wi-Fi via eduroam
The project room is not equipped with a presenter PC, so please bring your own laptops if necessary. If required, a laptop rental service is also available with sufficient advance notice: https://short.boku.ac.at/it-notebook-rental

The room has no windows, which offers the following advantages: No reflections or glare during video conferences; the room is well soundproofed from the surroundings; pleasant room temperature even on hot summer days.
How can the room be booked?
Log in to BOKUonline and click on:
- Calendar BOKU-IT Project Room TÜWI-U2/18 (after logging in)
Click on the ‘New date’ button and enter the desired time period.
Appointment entries are initially preferred dates.
Once the appointment has been confirmed by the BOKU-IT Office, you will receive a confirmation email and your appointment will then be firmly booked.
After confirmation, your appointment will be displayed on the e-paper display to the left of the door.
Unlocking the room with your BOKUcard
- Hold your BOKUcard to a card reader on the outer shell of the Tüwi building until the green light comes on and a short beep sounds.
- You can then use your BOKUcard to unlock the project room during the booked times.
Please note that after confirming your appointment, it will take 15 to 30 minutes for the authorization for the locking system to be activated on your BOKUcard.

Terms of use
Responsibility of the person making the booking
The person making the booking is liable for all damage and disturbances caused by the use of the project room, whether intentional or negligent. In the event of serious violations (e.g., intentional damage, circumvention of safety regulations) or repeated violations despite warnings, authorization may be permanently revoked.
If you notice any damage, theft, disturbances, or heavy soiling when entering the project room, please notify the BOKU IT hotline immediately.
Order and cleanliness
Everyone wants to find a clean and tidy project room—you as well as the people after you. Therefore, leave the project room at least as tidy and clean as you found it. Dispose of any items you no longer need in the designated container. Any door wedges must be removed when leaving the project room.
Changes to the AV technology
No changes may be made to the AV technology in the project room. It is not permitted to disconnect cables (power/network) from the screens or the video conferencing system yourself.
