Establishment of a high-performance infrastructure for the analysis of bioactive substances and renewable resources (InfraCore)

In the project "Establishment of a high-performance infrastructure for the analysis of bioactive substances and renewable resources" (InfraCore), a joint initiative of the two BOKU Core Facilities „Bioactive Molecules: Screening and Analysis“ (BMoSA) and „Analysis of Lignocellulosics“ (ALICE) acquired new high-performance infrastructure with funding from the IWB/EFRE program and REACT-EU.

The primary goal of this project was to establish and expand the necessary equipment infrastructure for the focal points of work established in the supervising BOKU institutes and at the Tulln campus around the topic of "sustainable use of biological resources" and to establish the two CFs as world-class facilities for the focal topics at the site. The acquisitions in the field of instrumental analytics, robotics and microscopy ensure that the core facilities at the campus Tulln will  operate with state-of-the-art technology. In the coming years, a wide range of users, from the BOKU and also third parties will have access to the latest large-scale equipment infrastructure. The investments made ensure the continuous development of the respective work and research areas of the BOKU and its partners in Tulln and thus sustainably strengthen the Technopol Tulln .
